'Ember & Crust Pizzeria started with a humble vision: to share true Neapolitan pizza with Naples. Established by the Romano family in 1987, our pizzeria began as a cozy, family-run spot built on time-honored recipes.
Luca Romano, our founder, mastered the craft of pizza-making while traveling across Italy, studying under master pizzaiolos in Naples—the birthplace of pizza. After returning to the UK, she set out to recreate the essence of genuine Italian pizza, using traditional techniques and the finest ingredients.
What started as a tiny 12-seat pizzeria has become a cherished neighborhood favorite, yet our promise of quality and authenticity remains unchanged. We still rely on wood-fired baking, prepare our dough fresh each day, and source only the best ingredients we can find.
Today, 'Ember & Crust Pizzeria is still family-owned and operated, with the second generation of the Romano family guiding our dedicated team. While we embrace select modern touches, our core mission stays the same: serving delicious, authentic pizza that brings people together.
